2023 Kia K5 vs 2023 Kia Stinger

Serving Morrow, GA

The Kia Stinger made waves in Atlanta when it debuted in 2018 as a high-performance sedan. In 2021, the Kia lineup grew even more appealing with the introduction of the K5. With these popular models available at Kia Atlanta South today, you understandably need to know their differences before selecting a specific car to drive home in. What will you discover with our associates’ knowledgeable assistance?

Performance

The Kia K5 replaced the Optima in the lineup, and it is available with two powertrains and four trims. The first three trims for 2023 benefit from a four-cylinder, turbo 1.6-liter engine with an eight-speed auto transmission. This pairing gives you 180 horsepower. The top K5 trim has a four-cylinder, turbo 2.5-liter engine that generates 290 horsepower. It has a sport-tuned suspension, upgraded brakes, paddle shifters, and an eight-speed, dual-clutch transmission. The Stinger has two trim lines with separate powertrains. The base trim draws 300 horsepower from a four-cylinder, 2.5-liter turbo engine. The more advanced trim has a 368-horsepower, turbo 3.3-liter, V6 engine. Both trims have an auto eight-speed transmission with either all-wheel or rear-wheel drive.

Appearance

Both models have a sporty look that is easy to love. A taller, curved roof and a sharp, rolling look across the defined hood define the K5. The thin, expansive grille has a hint of Kia’s bowtie-like shape. A bolt of orange lighting flanks the rectangular headlights. The lower fascia is athletic with accented, angled air vents. The 2023 Kia Stinger, on the other hand, has a fastback profile with a long, swooped hood. The grille is smaller, and the headlights are dressed up with segmented LED ribbons above and below the main section. The lower-front fascia is more rigorously defined. On the sides, a vertical air vent is mounted near the front wheel and has a streaming accent line that flows across the side door panels.

Features

These are modern sedans with ample passenger seating space and many advanced features. In both models, you will find front and rear USB ports, remote start, a dual-zone climate control system, wireless smartphone app connections, forward collision warning, lane keeping, a driver attention warning, a safe-exit system for rear passengers, a wireless charging pad, an integrated navigation system, adaptive cruise control, a panoramic sunroof, a surround-view camera, and other desired features. The Stinger adds leather material, a more advanced Harman Kardon sound system, and other items.
