The Forte kicks off Kia’s lineup, and it has a fresh look and exciting capabilities for the 2022 model year. Two engine options are available. One is a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder machine that is linked to a continuously variable transmission. The powertrain produces 147 horsepower. The other powertrain is a 1.6-liter turbo, four-cylinder, 201-horsepower engine. You can choose between a seven-speed dual-clutch auto transmission and a manual transmission. The K5 offers a 180-horsepower, turbo 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine paired with an eight-speed auto transmission. Its more advanced engine is a 290-horsepower, turbo 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine. This powertrain is linked to a dual-clutch eight-speed auto transmission.

The Kia Forte is the smaller of the two vehicles. It boasts a smoothly rounded profile with a deep curve through the hood. The sides have a touch of definition with a molded edge along with the lower door panels. The bowtie-style grille expands outward to reach the triangular, flared headlights. The Kia K5, on the other hand, is a midsize sedan with more curvature through the hood and roof. Like the Forte, the K5 has smooth side panels with a hint of definition. The K5 has a wide, rectangular grille. This is linked directly to the LED headlights. For individuality, the headlights have a zigging element that trends toward the rear.

The Kia Forte is a well-equipped car with a full array of impressive features. These include smart safety technologies, a 10.25-inch touch display screen, wireless Android Auto with Apple CarPlay, a 4.2-inch driver’s display screen, a sound system, an auto climate control system, and more. The K5 has comparable features in various trim levels. It adds remote vehicle monitoring and control, rear USB ports, keyless entry, a push-button ignition, a wireless phone charging pad, a navigation system, and other items.
