From the moment you see the 2025 Kia Sportage‘s bold front fascia and modern LED headlights, you’ll know that it’s not an ordinary compact crossover. This innovative SUV has a modern and spacious cabin, an incredibly stable and comfortable ride, plus plenty of standard tech features. It also has all the versatility you need to go from city streets to rugged trails without missing a beat.
Meet the 2025 Kia Sportage
The Sportage’s cabin brings the future into the present with its sleek 12.2-inch LCD instrument display and touchscreen infotainment system. It has seating for five passengers, with a class-leading 41.3 inches of rear legroom and reclining rear seats, so everyone can stretch out. The cargo area is also the largest in its class, providing 39.6 cubic feet of space, plus a dual-level cargo floor with hidden storage. Folding the rear seats expands the cargo space to 74.1 cubic feet.
Every Sportage is powered by a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 178 lb.-ft. of torque. Its 8-speed automatic transmission responds quickly and shifts smoothly to provide the best balance of power and fuel economy. Front-wheel drive models achieve efficiency of an EPA-estimated 28 MPG combined, while Sportage models equipped with all-wheel drive travel about 25 miles on a gallon of gasoline. The Sportage’s underbody is also protected with standard front and rear skid plates.
Head Off-Road in the X-Pro
The Sportage family includes seven trim levels, with two adventure-ready X-Pro trims. When you choose an X-Pro, you’ll get an increased 8.3 inches of ground clearance, high-utility roof rails, and all-terrain tires. Every X-Pro also comes standard with all-wheel drive with center lock, which intelligently responds to changing terrain with additional power to the wheels with the best grip. X-Pro styling features include blackout trim, a unique front and rear fascia, and available two-tone paint with an Ebony Black roof.
Advanced Safety Systems
Like every Kia, the Sportage is engineered to prioritize your safety. It has earned a 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from the NHTSA and an IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK. To help you stay alert and respond quickly to danger on the road, the Sportage also comes standard with an extensive list of advanced safety features.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist looks out for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists in the road ahead and warns you if it predicts a collision. This system can even apply the brakes automatically if you don’t respond to the warning. Other standard driver assistance features include Lane Departure Warning, rear Park Distance Warning, and Driver Attention Warning.
