Space, Comfort, and Convenience

The spacious and value-packed cabin of the new Seltos is one of the key reasons behind its popularity and excellent reviews, with all models boasting a 103.5-inch wheelbase and two rows of seating for up to five passengers. All five trim levels provide 41.4 inches of legroom in the front and 38.0 inches in the rear, as well as up to 62.8 cubic feet of cargo volume behind the driver and front passenger seats.

When it comes to convenience and comfort features, this Kia crossover SUV stands ahead of its competitors, boasting plenty of perks as standard fare. Base models are equipped with four-way manual passenger seat adjustment, privacy glass, sound-absorbing windshield glass, woven cloth seat trim, 12V and USB ports, and a dual-level cargo floor. S, EX, X-Line, and SX models also get an automatic climate control system, a leather-wrapped shift knob and steering wheel, and LED interior lighting.

Engine Options and Mechanical Features

The new Seltos is available with a choice of two efficient powertrain configurations, starting with a 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder unit that is standard in LX, S, and EX trims. Paired with an intelligent variable transmission, this standard engine produces 146 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The rest of the lineup features a turbocharged 1.6-liter unit that, together with an eight-speed automatic transmission, pumps 195 horsepower and 195 pounds of torque.

While the S and EX trim levels are available with front-wheel drive, the rest of the models come with an intelligent all-wheel drive system. In terms of efficiency, the thriftiest grade is the FWD S model, which gets EPA ratings of 28 miles per gallon in the city and 34 mpg on the highway. The SX AWD trim, on the other hand, achieves 24 mpg and 27 mpg, respectively.

Safety and Driver-Assist Technologies

Using cutting-edge software, sensors, and cameras, the new Seltos makes it easy to stay safe and confident behind the wheel. Some standard features include lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, forward collision-avoidance assist, and driver attention warning.
